INTERNATIONAL
We are now up to 125 nations were formal mobilization is under way. This in the first year! Domestically, the number as of last week is 25 states and roughly 50 US and Canadian cities. But this is only January. These numbers will continue to climb. Let me close with two letters recently received.

FIJI
I leave LAX on Sunday night for Fiji. Fiji will launch the GDOP, nearest the international date line. I will not only be meeting with Fijian leaders and technical people, but with the Prime Minister. He has declared the two weeks leading to Pentecost as weeks of fasting and prayer, and he has declared Pentecost as a national day of prayer! I may take a day trip to Christ Church, New Zealand to meet with leaders there.

Then I go home!!! to a family that has been altogether wonderful in this. They understand what is happening and have freed me for this season, but I miss Sally and my kids and want to be with them for a while. They miss me, too. Please pray for Sally, Evan (19), Joel (16) and Erik (14). They’re great but need your prayers. My travel will slow down considerably from then on. I will work with what we have by then. I do have a trip to India in March, however.

Let me give you recent insights from two international places. First, India. Last week I got the following letter. Here’s and excerpt that will take your breath away. They are talking about enormous first year numbers:

Dear brother --- in Christ,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,

We are sending letter regarding GDOP to all the national leaders, we are
getting good feedbacks and we are planning to do in at-least 10 major
cities.

The following are our plans.
1. 50,000 to 1,00,000 peoples in 5 cities ( Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad,
Bangalore, Delhi)
2. 5,000 to 10,000 peoples in 10 cities (Madurai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli,
Punjab, Haryana, Patna, etc.)
3. Less than 5000 peoples in 50 places.

50,000 to 1,000,000 in five different cities! Remember, again, this is year ONE in five. I also got a letter forwarded to me from Northern Ireland. Listen to this moving story. It is amazing what is happening.

... Having heard of the GDP we decided that we would like our nation to stand with other nations around the world to pray for our own nation and the world. We were truly inspired when we saw the video of Transformations Africa 2004 ...

We thought perhaps we should try and mobilise the city to pray in a football or rugby stadium but as we prayed we felt the Lord challenge us to ask if we could have permission to use the grounds of Stormont Estate – the [historic] site of our governmental buildings. To do this we had to get the approval of the Secretary of State for N. Ireland. In proceeding with this we sent a letter with the endorsement of the four mainline church leaders i.e. The Archbishop of the Church of Ireland, The Archbishop of the Catholic Church in Ireland, The President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. These men are all supportive of Transformations Ireland organising the event. Many of the New Churches are supportive and have already given financially into the event. We also have the endorsement of politicians and many Christian organisations/ministries e.g. Evangelical Alliance, UCB, ECONI.

We have just been given permission to use the grounds of Stormont and in fact they have said that they really want this event to happen there. We feel we have been welcomed in.

As we have moved forward in our preparations we realise that we are not just asking the church in the city to come and pray but we are actually calling the nation to come and pray. Our question might not seem big or grand but we are asking would 1% of the population in Northern Ireland be willing to come and pray on Pentecost Sunday with the rest of the world for our nation and the world. If 1% are willing to humble themselves and come we will have 17 000 people –the largest ever gathering of Christians in Northern Ireland and the first ever gathering in the grounds of Stormont. What a witness this would be when for many years our nation has been seen as a nation where the Christians kill one another.

PLEASE KEEP PRAYING. You join over two million intercessors who are covering this in prayer. It is no wonder that I find such favor wherever I go. Please think through how you can be a part of this move of God. Please give to this work – give generously, it may be the most import move of God in centuries. Talk to people, ministries or foundations with means, and refer them to me. All in all, as one National Prayer Committee member quipped last week, “Buzz where you are planted.” The Lord is on the move.
